Our Program

Mission

The mission of the Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts School Counseling Program is to equip all students with the knowledge, skills, and support necessary to thrive academically, artistically, socially, and emotionally. We promote academic achievement, social-emotional well-being, and college and career readiness for all students through a comprehensive, data-informed approach.

Vision

Our vision is to provide equitable, student-centered support that nurtures academic, artistic, personal, and social growth. In partnership with families, educators, and the community, we prepare students to become creative, compassionate, and resilient global citizens who make meaningful contributions to an ever-changing world.

Services

Academic Guidance

Our counselors assist students and families with course selection, academic planning, and meeting graduation requirements, providing academic resources and strategies to maximize student's learning potential and academic abilities.

Social-Emotional Support

Our counselors provide support during personal challenges, helping students develop coping mechanisms and build resiliency for a healthy and balanced life through high school and beyond.

College & Career Planning

We guide students and families through the complex process of college applications, as well as career exploration, scholarship opportunities, and post-secondary planning to prepare students for life after graduation.
